In 2009, when I joined the ranks of full-time freelancers, I discovered the Editorial Freelancers’ Association, an education and support organization for editing/writing/publishing professionals.

The first year I attended the conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, I went as a writer.

The National Pen Women have announced the 2014 winners of their Keats Soul Making Literary Awards.
